Broadcasting from the future, "PHILLY POP" presents "arabesque skies"... Introducing the protagonist, Lao Nacht el Amrani.
"PHILLY POP" and "arabesque skies" were both created during quarantine. Some parts had to be done remotely due to the circumstances around the pandemic. We reflect on feelings of escapism and anxiety in these tracks as we live out our own dystopia.

The beating of the unknown in my chest
Makes the sun too dim to behold.
Cloudiness emerges from my breath
And I do not believe that these things
I hold dear, the love, the dream, the now and then
Will save me from the moment time and space
Eclipse into shadows that dance across
The walls of this world.

Forward and backward both look the same
Both beckon movements that betray the pain
What, then, do I stumble towards
When light, dark, left and right give me no sanctity?
I crawl inside
Open a window
And gaze at those arabesque skies.
Dirt and dust
Gather on my body like rust
This is a mental image of trust

Eyes anew, the skylines hide the true
